Pompeii was deemed one of the most beautiful cities of the Roman Kingdom, until the year 79 A.C., when Vesuvius erupted, burying the city in a few minutes under a thick layer of ash and pumice. The dreadful natural disaster is today a stroke of luck for art history. Nowhere else remained frescoes and art objects of that time so well preserved.
Two women, Perseus and Andromeda, Mars and Venus and The Three Graces in a set: All these replicas were made exclusively for ars mundi, accurate in every detail, after originals in the archeological National Museum, Naples. Griddles reproduction as giclée edition on real art canvas. Traditionally stretched on a wedge frame. Format unframed each ca. 40.5 x 40.5 cm, in hochwertiger solid wood model framing each ca.45 x 45 cm.
