Landscape
The landscape painting has been an important part of the history of arts for a long time.
Primarily landscapes were considered as backgrounds for figurative scenes until Albrecht Durer (1471-1528) brought the landscape to the forefront. In the beginning artists just prepared sketches of a future landscape, later they made them more realistic and added expressive force with the help of targeted brush strokes. Even nowadays the landscape remains one of the favorite subjects of artistic presentation and continues to charm painters and spectators.
