Susann Ohlendorf, born in 1962, lives and works as a freelance artist in Hanover.Susann Ohlendorf particularly pleased with the imaginary landscapes of the universe. The wonder world of nature, the Cosmos with its cloud seas.
Her artistic work focuses on is the oil-based paint. Preferably she wears on the colour layers. Alive, organic structures appear, abstract colour explosions - beyond objectivity.
Not later than with the work row begun in 2000 " Sea of Clouds " - large-size, from imaginary landscapes dominated oil paintings - she has managed the international successful outcome. Her works are regularly at exhibitions in Germany and abroad. The criticism praises her technical mastery as well as her artistic expression. Repeatedly referenced in her compositions of colour and light will be given to the "musicality".
Her pictures remind William Turner, she shares the feeling for colour effects and lighting effects. However, Ohlendorf does not go around the representation of abstracted sensory perception. Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spray".
Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different coloured or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are light-fast, that is, resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.
The Giclée process is suitable for real art canvas, handmade and watercolor paper and for silk.
