Kerstin Tschech: Painting "Herd"

The dream of freedom and force: in his painting, Kerstin Tschech does more than a detailed or photographic reproduction of horses. They make perceptible the fascination with horses. The galloping noble creatures, their rhythmic breathing and the powerful wave emanated by the hot horse bodies. The horse odor – so close is Tschech presenting the horses on his canvases.

For a brilliant, authentic reproduction, the original was transferred, using a fine art giclée technique, directly on real art canvas of 100% cotton and stretched on a wedge frame. Limited series of 199 exemplars, serially numbered on the backside and signed by the artist. Wedge frame format 100 x 90 cm. Framed in exquisite solid wood studio framing with shadow gap. Format ca. 104 x 94 cm.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spray".

Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different coloured or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are light-fast, that is, resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.

The Giclée process is suitable for real art canvas, handmade and watercolor paper and for silk.
