Yim Young Ju, born in South Korea in 1972 studied painting at the famous Leipzig High School of Graphics and Arts under the coordination of Sighard Gille and Annette Schroeter.

His figurative painitings and graphics are created through the mystic and dreamy scenneries and shining claruty. Free from time and space the figures and animals appear from diffuse brightly colore backgrouds. "Indeed experiences mingle with invented things. Dream and reality mix together. Present and past are indissolubly dependent on each other," says the artist who now works in Leipzig and Seoul. wants to give a certain order to the diversity and colorfulness of life.

Yim Young Ju's work is in the tradition of the New Leipzig School and have already appeared in numerous exhibitions. He received the special Award of the Municipal Art Museum of his native city Inchoen.
