Robert Witzke is native of Gnesen (Gniezno), the Centre of medieval Poland, and now lives in Berlin.

His route to the Visual Arts was rather unusual: as an educator, for many years he worked with young people and gave them artistic techniques and styles on the basis of his own interest in drawing and painting. Much later, he ventured out on his own work - but not least appears due to his sovereign technique so well that he was soon exhibited in Berlin galleries.

Today, Witzke leads a professional double life as an artist. The pedagogy a profession has taken place however, where especially his exact style of painting is required - Witzke is a stage design painter in the Babelsberg film Studio.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spray".

Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different coloured or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are light-fast, that is, resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.

The Giclée process is suitable for real art canvas, handmade and watercolor paper and for silk.
