The artistic book:

The large format collection of illustration appeared an artwork of Bernhard Jager. With more than 386 illustrations in bright colors he informs us about the shifting 50 yearls ling shifting period which has begun in the sixties and last untill today. The specialist in the history of arts Friedhelm Haring analyzed the work of Jager and divided it into five periods. There special characteristic were later presented to the readers. But the monograph about Bernhard Jager is not only the huge books of illustrations, it also has a great aesthetic value. The lively layout by Thomas Roder and Bernhard Jager, the book furnishing with colorful end-paper, the large size and the wide side notes in pictures and text characterize the book.

Born in 1935 in Munich. 1957-1960 studies at the Academy of Design in Offenbach am Main. Since 1985 he heads the night school of the Staedelschule in Frankfurt am Main. Bernhard Jäger is a member of the Darmstadt Secession. Numerous exhibitions have made known his work. In 1998 he won the Price of Heitland Foundation.
