Udo Nolte (*1950) beside a study in the professional school for art and design of his hometown Dortmund, in addition, a study of the art history at the Ruhr university of Bochum.

In the course of his artistic career he specialized in graphics, in particular on etchings. He gained worldwide recognition by the illustration of vinyl and CD-booklets for the Deutsche Grammophon Company. His passion for classical music is expressed in its technologically very demanding and highly detailed graphics. Symphonies and operas inspired him to graphic works, which he puts the music into his own visual language.
