Rosina WachtmeisterRosina Wachtmeister was born in 1939 in Vienna. At the age of 14, her family immigrated to Porto Alegre, Brazil, where she attended the Academy of fine arts and completed her studies with a diploma for sculpture. Initially followed first exhibitions of his own works at the Museo di Arte Moderna in Porto Alegre. Subsequently, she studied stage design at the theatre school in Salvador Bahia.

In 1962, the artist met the puppeteer Roser Denneborg and moved with him and his troupe for five years to Brazil. Rosina Wachtmeister artistic creations won at this stage of expression. She became known in Italy and Germany within a very short time through numerous exhibitions, including in Brazil, Portugal, France, and England. She represented Brazil at an international art competition of the Guggenheim Foundation.

Rosina Wachtmeister is a painting poet. Her paintings and lithographs give the viewer a journey through a colourful world full of harmony, where humans and animals live in harmony with nature. For over ten years the artist lives and works in a small village, populated by many cats in the province of Rome.
