Ralf Bergner: Picture "The Dirigent in Notes"

Subtle irony enters the brilliant sharpness - the works of Bergner touch upon the human and evrything connected to us. Like here with these dirigents. A usual concert may be not just what man thinks it to be. Often the tired dirigent is advised on two sides: careless public on the one side and bad-tempered musicians on the other side.

Colorful fine art giclée on the handmade paper. Limited edition of 199 copies, numbered and signed by the artist. Sheet format 30 x 40 cm (W/H). Framed in a matt silver-gilt solid wood frame with a mat. With dust-protective glazing. Format 33 x 43 cm (W/H). ars mundi special edition.

Porträt des Künstlers Ralf BergnerPortrait of the artist Ralf Bergner. The director of the graphic collection Albertina in Vienna, Walter Koschatzky, called Ralf Bergner, who lives in Berlin “a sign of the best format”. He studied painting and graphics at Frank Ruddigkeit and Willi Sitte in Halle, Saale. He took early student visits in the Austrian capital to the artists like Paul Flora and Alfred Hrdlicka, which praised their acquaintance and valued him as a collector. His works touch upon the topic of human and everything connected to human. His sensitive studies became comic, cheerful, whimsical and finally satirical. Newly found ratios stress his view on things, which are garnished through the props. Near the abrupt clearness there are many tender graceful details that can fascinate you. A lot of exhibitions which represent his exclusive drawings and etchings and series which he prepared for the "Magazin" and "Die Zeit" witness about this. Experts align his works with the graphic works of Busch, Zille and Grosz.

Graphic or sculpture edition that was initiated by ars mundi and is available only at ars mundi or at distribution partner licensed by ars mundi.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spray".

Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different coloured or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are light-fast, that is, resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.

The Giclée process is suitable for real art canvas, handmade and watercolor paper and for silk.
