Short description
Limited, 499 exemplars | Certificate | Reproduction, giclée on canvas | Wedge frame | Studio framing | Format 83 x 76 cm
During his some over one year stay in Arles between 21st February 1888 and 3rd May 1889 Vincent van Gogh created 190 oil paintings and 108 drawings in creation rush. Besides, it is striking the brightening of his color pallet in the literal sense: in numerous letters, he asked his brother Theo – unabatingly supporting him to his death – to send him chrome yellow, vermilion, Prussian blue and emerald green, using them intensively.
A shining example are his "Willows at Sunset", where van Gogh places a row of deep-blue pollard willows in a landscape flooded by the red-golden light of the setting sun.
Original: Oil on canvas, Otterlo, Rijksmuseum Kröller-Müller.
For a brilliant, authentic reproduction, the original was transferred by fine art giclée technique directly on real art canvas of 100% cotton and stretched on a wedge frame. Limited edition of 499 exemplars, with certificate. Framed in hand-made solid wood studio framing, Format 83 x 76 cm.
