Short description
Limited, 250 exemplars | Serially numbered | Signed | Bronze | Hand-made | Hand-patinated | Partly polished | Format: each 15 x 13 x 15 cm (W/H/D) | Weight each ca. 2.2 kg
The three wise monkeys have their origin in a Japanese saying and they represent the exemplary approach of the evil. The original text "see nothing (evil), hear nothing (evil), say nothing (evil)" is part of the teaching of the Buddhist god Veda. In Occident, the old symbol was interpreted mostly as being about fools, who do not want to perceive anything and to express themselves. Wise or fool - Wunderlich´s sculpture group is open to both readings, in a wonderful way.
Sculpture group in fine bronze, hand-cast using the lost wax technique, hand-patinated and partly polished. Limited series of 250 exemplars, serially numbered and signed. Catalogue No. 277. Format: each sculpture 15 x 13 x 15 cm (W/H/D). Weight each ca. 2.2 kg.
