Jochen Bauer: Sculpture "Raven" - according to Rudi Hurzlmeier art bronze edition

The Raven is considered the ornithologists as the wisest among birds. What is scientifically underpined with observation and experiment today, the myths know for a long time: Odin, the Nordic God of death and war, was always accompanied by his two ravens Hugin and Munin. Their names are spoken: There are "Thought" and "Memories".

The raven is the work of sculptor Coburg Jochen Bauer; It is based on a drawing by Rudi Hurzlmeier, highly vaunted Cartoonist for decades (2010 prize of excellent German Caricature ). From humorous bird's series "Happy Birds Day".

Sculpture in art bronze. Hand cast, bronze surface. Weight: 0.8 kg. Size: 8 x 16.5 x 18.5 cm (W / H / D).

*1951, Architect and Painter

The architect Jochen Bauer was born in Coburg in 1951. The last 30 years he belonged to the leading porcelain modelers of Germany. Since 1999 he devoted himself to architecture and painting as a free artist.

With his outstanding technique he is famous in his branch as a great talent, while it always goes about putting a concept in the third dimension. In his own works he preferred naturalistic motifs, which he implemented in flowing shapes and expressive poses with a precise view.

“The source of my creative activity is nature, the analysis of ecological connections…”
