„Life is motion – motion is life“. This motto of Thomas Aeffner, born in 1953 in Low Saxony, can be traced in all of his creations. His topics are strong and dynamic, as he has been developing his masterly skills for more than three decades.

One of his most favorite motifs is a horse – in professional circles he is famous as the most professional painter of horse motifs. The dynamic vital elements also can be felt in landscapes and flower paintings by Thomas Aeffner: the wind in the branches, the waves of the stalks in the field, the drifting clouds in the sky. The search for something that moves the world is reflected in dynamic lines, the vibrant play of colors and moving contrasts.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spray".

Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different coloured or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are light-fast, that is, resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.

The Giclée process is suitable for real art canvas, handmade and watercolor paper and for silk.
