Ariane Boss, born in 1972, studied at the Berlin Academy of Art and was a master student of Professor Petrick.

Among the young artists of Berlin she was one of the few who chose, besides painting, woodcut and lithography as an important means of artistic expression. Similarly to Henri Rousseau or René Magritte, she tries not to picture reality, but rather poetic ciphers and surreal dreams.

She lives and works in Berlin.

The field of graphic arts, that includes artistic representations, which are reproduced by various printing techniques.

Printmaking techniques include woodcuts, copperplate engraving, etching, lithography, serigraphy.
