This object strongly reminds on his works in bronze, that imitate artfully crumpled newspapers and express the transience of the actual news concerning the sculptures that outlast them. So his edition can be understood as a variant of self-irony. This crumples paper is sort of a review of his exhibition in the Kestner Community, which took part in 2008.

The paper object on the wooden base under Plexiglass 2008, edition 25 copies, numbered on the bottom of the base and signed by hand. Format 18,3 x 21,9 x 16,9 cm.

The sculptural work of the distinguished Chinese artist Wang Du, born in 1956 in Wuhan / China, centers on the never-ending flood of images of our present. The oversized sculptures of the artist analyze the relationships of a human with media images, their schemas, and their impact on the everyday life.

Wang Dus's work is in numerous collections, including the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris, the UCCA (Ullens Center for Contemporary Art) in Beijing, and the Musée de Monaco. The artist lives in Paris today.
