Daniel Authouart was born in 1943 in Lillebonne. He is the most famous pop-art representative in France. He was distinguished as a French artist of the 1999. His works are famous on the international scene and exhibited in the big galleries in Europe and America. The great retrospectives of the artists in Carré des Arts in Paris attracted more than 15,000 visitors!

After the education in the School of Arts in Rouen, which he began at the age of 16, he worked for advertising agencies and interior designers. In 1974 he started to work as a free artist.

The motifs of his lively, mostly large-sized pictures are cult objects and scenes of our time between hyperrealism and surrealism.

The field of graphic arts, that includes artistic representations, which are reproduced by various printing techniques.

Printmaking techniques include woodcuts, copperplate engraving, etching, lithography, serigraphy.
