Kurt Steinels lithographs and dry point etchings are collected by dedicated art lovers around the world. He has become internationally known for his original graphics to texts by writers of the 20th century such as Thomas Mann and Franz Kafka. His Reineke Fuchs has won several awards.

Illustrator and graphic artist, Kurt Steinel is one of the most prominent artists of the Offenbach scene: first as student, then as a lecturer and professor, finally as a leader of the College of design. He was also for many decades on the elaboration of an artistic profile of the city and far beyond her borders. He was a founding member of the international Senefelder Foundation to Offenbach and participated as an experienced juror in all nine as the international Senefelder price part.
