Edvard Munch: Picture "The garden in Asgardstrand" (1904-05), framed

Munch family had a holiday home in which the painter (1863-1944) spent his summer in the small town of Åsgårdstrand on the Oslo fjord. At the age of 35 he purchased a separate building, which remained for him a refuge until old age. Even when he was long considered the most important painters in Scandinavia and his works prices achieved, which allowed him, to purchase a large estate in erkely near Oslo , he returned regularly to his small fishing house to live and work there.

The importance of Asgardstrands for Munch's art is not to be underestimated. The changing any time of day light and the lush colours he found there influenced his palette still in the landscape paintings of the Age works. Pictures of "The Garden" show a Munch, who created works of simple, great beauty in addition to its famous, the human psyche auslotenden and dissecting masterpieces. Here this work is no less groundbreaking than his psychological studies - in colour and composition engages Munch also here already before the Expressionism.

Dietz giclee on canvas, on wooden stretchers and in massive wood frame. Limited to 990 numbered pieces. Size: 74 x 58 cm.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spray".

Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different coloured or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are light-fast, that is, resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.

The Giclée process is suitable for real art canvas, handmade and watercolor paper and for silk.
