Short description
ars mundi exclusive edition | Limited, 980 exemplars | Bronze | Patinated | Serially numbered | Signature | Casting stamp | Certificate | Reduction | Format: 19 x 28 x 11 cm (W/H/D)
Barlach lets this young lad sit on a rounded boulder with his low hat, who blows his flute with dedication and immersed in his play, with closed eyes and unified with his instrument. Thus, the spiritual, the musical and the gravity of the boulder are flowing here together, into the artwork. With the flow of lines and sliding surfaces, this work is a conversion of the flute tune into sculptural form.
Sculpture in fine bronze, hand-cast using the lost wax technique and patinated. The form was taken directly after the original and reduced (reduction). Limited series, 980 exemplars, individually serially numbered and with signature taken over from the original "E. Barlach" as well as the casting punch. ars mundi exclusive edition, made in cooperation with the Ernst Barlach Company. With serially numbered authenticity and limiting certificate. Format: 19 x 28 x 11 cm (W/H/D).
