Short description
Limited to 950 copies | Original Dietz replica | Oil on canvas | Real wood strip | Format 115 x 55 cm
The designer, fashion stylist and businesswoman Emilie Louise Flöge was a fascinating personality of the Fin de Siècle and Gustav Klimt's life companion. In this icon of Art Nouveau, Klimt portrayed her in a self-designed dress that was considered to be revolutionary female fashion at that time.
Emilie Flöge was frequently painted by Klimt, the described picture was presented publicly for the first time in 1903. However, she didn't identify herself with this picture because it showed rather a beautiful, bored lady of Viennese society, and not a businesswoman with her own career, like she was.
Original: Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna.
Original Dietz replica. Oil on canvas in 90 colors with gold and silver finishing. Limited edition of 950 copies. In a silver gilt frame. Format approx. 115 x 55 cm, incl. frame.
