Anja Struck: Painting Winter Mood" (2016)

The Luenerburg artist Anja Struck is a master od the athmospheric staging. This refers tothose of her works, where she combines the human and the landscape. The typical feature of her works was the liquidation of the borders, the obliteration of motives and the creation of blurring. Struck's protagonists are completely absorbed in their surroundings, they almost blur with the landscape and thus become part of nature itself. This artistic effect conveys the feeling of great freedom, as here with this kid on the ice-blue winter coast. br>

A master of atmospheric staging

The painter Anja Struck places the human being at the center of her work on the background of landscapes, in sequences of movement or in the form of portraits. She leaves a large part of her own emotional world in the figures she paints: "Every work is a piece of myself, unhidden, naked and honest." Struck achieves the special mood in her pictures by purposeful blurring: motifs and contours blur and dissolve in color veils.

Struck, born 1961 in Hamburg, lives and works in Lueneburg, she studied graphics and design, art education and painting, with many prominent artists like Markus Luepertz.
