Exhibition Poster "Leopold Collection" (2000) of Kestner Community Hannover, Framed

Those who love modern art know the Kestner Community in Hannover as an art institution. In the history of modern, it plays an important role. A lot of its exhibitions travel to the most different European centers of culture.

Founded in 1916 to meet the needs of the modern art, it's aim is "Not to make impact as a place to spend time with pleasure, but also as a motivator or even as a pathogen." Yet in 1936 they presented an overview of works by Franz Mark, who'd been outlawed long before. A compulsory break of twelve years was followed by a lively exhibition activity with many great names from Picasso and Klimt to Grosz and Warhol. In 1982, the Kestner Community received the Theo Wormland Prize for its "persistent, nationally and internationally oriented mediation of contemporary art creation."

An exhibition poster "Masterpieces from the Leopold Collection. 18.06.-13.08.2000." A look at the beginning of the 20th century and its protagonists, who formulated the image of the humanity of an epoch in their studio and whose works today form the core of the new Vienna Museumsquartier. Framed in the black solid wood strip, glazed. Format 89 x 64.5 cm (H/W).
