Born in 1962 in Hilden near Dusseldorf. After the training course "technical assistant for design", studying communication design with a focus on free graphics and painting. He studied in Wuppertal with Professors Will scythes and Michael Badura.

As a freelance artist, he early made a name as an illustrator of a numerous literary texts.
