Thomas Otto, born in 1969, completed his degree at the University of art and design in Halle after an apprenticeship as a toolmaker. He was already represented in several exhibitions in Germany; his space-consuming objects can be found in the public space (E.g. in Halle) and sculpture gardens. The sculptures of Thomas Otto is dominated by organic, flowing forms. Skilfully Otto uses also voids and negative forms, which lend his steel works to a great ease, depending on the viewing angle of the viewer.
