Marino Marini
Marino Marini, 1901-1980, is considered one of the most important artists of our time.
Already at the age of 16 he began to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, at 28 he was appointed Professor of Sculpture at the Art School Villa Reale in Monza. His great success began with his participation in the Venice Biennale in 1932. At the end of the 40s the international breakthrough came with his famous figures of horsemen.
His pictures live from the noticeable tension between dynamic and static forms. The Marino Marini Museum opened in 1973 in Milan honours his great life's work.
