Fernando Bellver
The painter, architect and a writer Fernando Bellver, born in 1954 in Madrid followed the footsteps of his famous grandfather Ricardo Bellver (monument “The Fallen Angel”) and made his name in the international art scene. Today he belongs to the most important Spanish artists of modernity.
Bellver studied in the capital of Spain, specialized in etching and turned to lithography in 1980. His works turn in the tension field together between comics, irony and agility.
Numerous scholarships and prizes bring fame to his artistic creations. In 2008 Fernando Bellver got the Premio Nacional de Arte Gráfico. He provides lectures round the world. His works can be found in the most important exhibitions and museums in the whole world from Madrid to London, from New York to Kyoto.
