Rolf Behm, born in 1952 in Karlsruhe, studied in the Art academy from the professors P. Ackermann and Markus Lupertz and in the St. Martins School of Art with John Hoyland in London.
His works show surfaces and forms in space. In paintings of Rolf Behms dominates colorfulness on the background of which hover other elements of work. He combines the elements of the landscape and organics in an characteristic style and allows the thoughts of the viewer to dive into the “Sea of Colors”. Rolf Behm brings fragments from what he experienced in the pictures and mixes his own world with the world of the viewer into a life-affirming and positive art.
The artist lived and worked in Berlin and Brazil.
