Namazbek Chekirov
Namazbek Chekirov was born on February 6, 1979 in the former Soviet republic in a remote region in Kyrgyzstan. He was fascinated by the painting of nature, especially flowers, animals, as well as regions and towns from the early age. His painting offers us extraordinary impressions and authentic details. In his paintings, the time seems to stand still and yet they remain appealing and delicate. Figurative painting is another thematic priority of his works.
When Chekirov visited the New York metropolis for the first time, he was simply overwhelmed. He immediately began photographing homes and neighborhoods. Later he turned them into his paintings. In his works New York is portrayed as a melting pot of cultures, as the light-flooded heartbeat of modernity. Strong penetrating colors help him to present the momentary impressions of the big in a modern language of art.
