Jim Shore
With his imaginative designs, Jim Shore is one of the most successful artists in America and received the title of "Artist of the year" for his creations in 2006. He is an active member and President of the "Yorkville artist Guild".
Shore found his models in the quilts, the ceramics and embroidery of the colonial American folk art: "These objects were created from pure heart!" He combined many of these elements for his work: "every time I create a new object, I create two or more designs, for it to see how it develops and how the colours and shapes in combination impact. This diversity is the source of my inspiration..."
