César
César, or César Baldaccini (Marseille 1921 - Paris 1998) together with Arman are the leading representatives of „Nouveau Réalisme“ ("New Realism"). César made metal sculptures from the previously prepared metallic parts since 1949. In 1960 he introduced sculptures made from compressed auto parts (compressions). They were followed by casts of body shapes and "expansions" of flexible plastic which he introduced in 1966. p>
