Anders Zorn
The outstanding talent of Anders Zorn, born in 1860 as the illegitimate son of German Brewer and a Swede, was discovered early. As a 15-year-old, he attended the school of sculpture; barely 17, he attended the Swedish art Academy. Travels throughout Europe led him at a young age. He kept contact with international greats such as Manet, Renoir, and Lieberman.
Deep in its Nordic home rooted, he returned in 1896 to Mora not far from his birthplace of Yvraden and founded a Museum for his own works and his collection of folk art works, which is now is the "Zorn Museum" one of the most visited monuments in Sweden.
