Alexander Koester
With its specialization in the subject of "Ducks", Alexander Koester (1864-1932) of the great animal painters of art history. Virtuoso he gave in late impressionistic manner reflecting water surfaces and shimmering in light and shadow duck feathers again. The success was inevitable: 1904 Koester was awarded at the World Exhibition in St. Louis with the gold medal, he received from Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria another gold medal.
