TA MEN: Bild "Shanghai II"

We're sorry, but there is no English translation for this item yet. If you are interested in size or material of this product, please have a look in the german description as stated below.

Keilrahmenformat 120 x 75 cm. In anspruchsvoller Modellrahmung mit Schattenfuge. Format 124 x 79 cm.

The Chinese art is experiencing a rapid development at the time like no other. More and more Chinese artists gain overnight an international recognition and achieve it at Sotheby's auctions and Christie's fantastic prizes.

The artist duo TA MEN (in German "They") is one of the young rising stars of the "Art Nouveau Chinois", whose art is very popular in the West. The two artists with real name Lai Shengyu and Yang Xiaogong were born in 1978 in Hunan Province and received numerous awards even during their studies, which they finished at the Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2004: among others the Excellence Award of the Nokia "Paradise of Imagination" art competition, the first prize of Okamatsu Family Art Funds, Japan, and the Gold Medal of Graduation Works Exhibition at the Centrals Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spray".

Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different coloured or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are light-fast, that is, resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.

The Giclée process is suitable for real art canvas, handmade and watercolor paper and for silk.
