Brigitte Hoeppe was born in 1941 in Neumark. After studying the social sciences, 1965, her marriage brought her to Southeast Asia. There, she studied painting and graphic art in Manila and Singapore.

There she learned as a protégée of Dr. Chen Wen hsi and Madam Che Cheng Lin disciplined the Canon of Chinese painting include landscapes, still lives and flowers. Images of fully graphical clarity without wandering of the essence. Painting as meditation, as a means of sharpening of the senses.

She undertook study trips to Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, Cambodia, Hong Kong and many European countries.
