Namazbek Chekirov: Picture "Times Square North"

The oil painting was printed on canvas using giclée technique of brilliant color exclusively for ars mundi. The gridless reproduction reflects brushstrokes and structures in such precise detail that it creates the impression of an original painting. The graphic was traditionally mounted on a stretcher frame to tighten the canvas under temperature fluctuations. The solid wood frame with atmospheric shadow gap perfectly completes the design.

Giclée on artist canvas, mounted on a stretcher frame. Limited edition of 750 copies, individually numbered on the back side and signed by the artist. Stretcher frame format 101 x 93 cm. With an elegant solid wood studio frame and a shadow gap. Format 105 x 97 cm.

Namazbek Chekirov Namazbek Chekirov was born on February 6, 1979 in the former Soviet republic in a remote region in Kyrgyzstan. He was fascinated by the painting of nature, especially flowers, animals, as well as regions and towns from the early age. His painting offers us extraordinary impressions and authentic details. In his paintings, the time seems to stand still and yet they remain appealing and delicate. Figurative painting is another thematic priority of his works.

When Chekirov visited the New York metropolis for the first time, he was simply overwhelmed. He immediately began photographing homes and neighborhoods. Later he turned them into his paintings. In his works New York is portrayed as a melting pot of cultures, as the light-flooded heartbeat of modernity. Strong penetrating colors help him to present the momentary impressions of the big in a modern language of art.

Graphic or sculpture edition that was initiated by ars mundi and is available only at ars mundi or at distribution partner licensed by ars mundi.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spray".

Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different coloured or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are light-fast, that is, resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.

The Giclée process is suitable for real art canvas, handmade and watercolor paper and for silk.
