Portrait of the artist Allen JonesAllen Jones, born in 1937 in Southampton, is world famous for its provocative art, his rebellion against the British respectability. In 1961 he helped by his participation in the exhibition "Young Contemporaries" the English pop art breakthrough.

The artist studied at the Royal College of art. Visiting Professor in Hamburg, Florida, Los Angeles and Berlin, as well as numerous exhibitions around the globe marked his artistic career.

The work of Allen Jones includes spectacular paintings and graphic works, sculptures and photographs, heliographs and digital prints. His imagery increased from gentle eroticism to a bold, challenging expression. In his bronze sculptures, he succeeds to transmit liveliness, light-heartedness, audacity, even disrespect for all conventions on the material.

Jones' works rise inexorably in value. They seal the worldwide breakthrough of a new concept of art, which is based on the real and factual.

The field of graphic arts, that includes artistic representations, which are reproduced by various printing techniques.
